Rust-VMM Logo
Software logos aren't the easiest thing to design, especially when they're for the kinds of software non-technical people aren't accustomed to using. The functionality is sometimes too complex to effectively illustrate in logo form.
Because this open source project is the result of a collaborative effort between tech companies, it was both sensible and useful to work on logo designs out in the open via their mailing list. With a lot of help from technical folks familiar with the intricacies of project, I came up with an R icon constructed from puzzle pieces to illustrate its high-level purpose.
It is simple, recognizable, and not dependent on the functionality of the software to make conceptual sense.
