Ausbed 3D Mattress

Ausbeds, leaders in the online mattress business in Australia, contacted me to refresh the product pictures used in their website.

The goal was to recreate an exact replica of each mattress model, achieving realistic renders that could serve as a replacement for a professional studio photoshoot.

From the subtle hexagon bumps to the different foams on the inside, the biggest challenge consisted in recreating the exact same fabrics in 3D.

This was achieved by carefully recreating the textures with a mix of Photoshop for the fabrics and Illustrator for the bump maps. The final images were rendered in Vray and composed in After Effects.
