Data Entry Enhancements

Our users enter claims every day so we wanted a simple, keyboard friendly design. Users receive a paper form called the CMS1500 and then they manually enter the data from the form.

There's about 4,000 claims that come in like this - a small number compared to how many claims are actually processed each month.

Future state, users will be able to use the scanned paper form to pre-populate the web form.

This week, I've been working on some enhancements to these mockups. We've highlighted required fields, added an overview card, and help text throughout.
