Studies in Scripture and Biblical Theology
I was tasked with redesigning this series with its lead editor because the current designs weren't hitting the high academic code they needed. We worked through different iterations of tweaking and refining the old design until we both realized that we needed to scrap it entirely.

Lexham Press has another series called the "Studies in Historical and Systematic Theology" that we were trying to match in level of quality, but it wasn't until late in the process that we finally realized they should be true sister series.

I used the opposite colors in the Lexham Press brand palette, the same typography, and mirrored the layout so these books will be unmistakably related. Yet the new mark, color scheme and imagery compilations will ensure the distinctions between the two. The marbling, again, brings such a high academic feel without having to be too concrete about the nature of the content.
