Questionable Vintage mascot Recreation

So, I am not a fan of racist or culturally insensitive mascots. I am, however, obsessed with vintage sports logos and their techniques. My wife went to William Henry Harrison High in Indiana, and they were the warriors. I discovered this illustration watermarked on her Varsity letter, and found a lot of irony in the image. How bizarre that the mascot of a school, named after a historical figure whose only real claim to fame before becoming president was lying to and murdering Native Americans, turns out to be a Native American. I think the expression on the face of this guy was intentional and the original creator might have felt the same way I do.
