Day 84: Ahanu The Amazonian

Meet Ahanu The Amazonian. Ahanu is a chief of a small tribe. But he no longer lives with his people. He's found the big wide world. Along with capitalism and consumerism. See that sweet jaguar-print onesie? Yep. That's capitalism. You won't find that in rural Amazonia. Ahanu runs 2 businesses: manufacturing nose-piercing accessories, and fake-fur head-bands. He also has a cash-only side-hustle where he sells spears and other sharp objects. For Ahanu, the best thing about the this new world is getting his head massaged every Tuesday with warm water and shampoo. It's the little things. And music! His favourite artist is Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
