THE RIYAN

The Riyan’ stems from the Arabic word “ El rayaan” which is the name of the gates of heaven.
Giving the brand identity a cultural and linguistic link to this region.
It therefore, becomes authentic.
By spelling it this way and adding the word ‘the’ it makes it more abstract and foreign sounding,
which allows it to steer from an extremely arabesque theme.
The word meaning itself connotes the beauty and allure of the place, a hotel that is heavenly.
Its application in a softer logo that is cleanly juxtaposed with handwritten elements
makes it warm and inviting yet minimalistic and contemporary.
It’s a brand that evokes the natural, the luxurious, the boutique yet it is honest and inviting.
The colors achieve the same balance of being subtle, the elements of the earth in a heavenly luxurious boutique hotel.
