Enter A Glitch

I really want to perfect this technique, because I think that it has a big potential. But I have a big problem with this kind of stuff, because I usually work on a big canvas and there are a ton of layers, and at some point it starts to lag. I have a top notch pc and I already tried googling the solution, but could not find anything useful. Maybe you have a solution to my problem, it would be great if you shared it.
