Madera icon grid
We set out to create a logotype and icon that could work together and not severely affect legibility, which is common when replacing letterforms with icons.
The Madera icon starts with a fully custom M letterform. The downward triangle and similar negative space represents the main descriptive features of one of Madera's bread-and-butter products: the 48 spline spindle. Might be a little difficult to understand unless you're familiar with BMX products.
