D-Day: Dave Shannon

Here is another cropped spread from my recently released picture book D-Day. Dave Shannon was a pilot on a Lancaster bomber. Shannon’s team flew towards France to drop ‘window’ (sometimes known as ‘chaff’), which is a cloud of strips of metal foil designed to confuse enemy radar.
