Gallic Celt

So you might think this looks like Guy Fieri wearing pajama pants, but it’s not. This is a 1st century Gallic Celt. The Celts occupied largely what is modern day Western Europe. To give themselves a more ferocious appearance, warriors would dye their hair white using a limewash and spike it on end. As much as I wish his mustache was creative license, Celts also wore their facial hair long and shaved their beards. Plaid and body paint was also a fashion of the day. Unfortunately, Caesar was the victor in these days, killing a million Celts, enslaving another million and leaving the remaining million to move north.
