Illustrated Profile Picture

Your profile picture is an important element of your online presence. Your picture can affect the willingness of others to contact you. But it may also keep people away, and this has nothing to do with beauty.

But there are also people, including myself, who are camera shy or just tend to be uncomfortable when a picture is taken. So an illustrated picture based on a real picture is a good solution. You get the hint of how someone looks but the the person itself doesn't have to go through a "painfull" photoshoot.
