Paul Hierophant — Utopian Dystopias (Part One)

Wraparound insert artwork for Exalt Records 008 12" (released April 2019), limited to 100 hand assembled copies. Single colour artwork printed on a card insert with hand stamped centre label of Paul Heirophant's logo.

Paul wanted to use a theme of space and particularly giant gas planets. I used some imagery from Unsplash (the gas planet is a close-up of an oil bubble I think) and came up with a narrative of a tiny spaceship leaving the planet for a brighter future. This hopefully gives the sleeve an epic feel to reflect the vastness of the music.

I particularly love the b-side track, 10 minutes of dark mid-paced techno with bubbling acid lines. Lush! Copies still available from exalttshirts.co.uk (end of promotional message).
