Carrie for Beneficial Shock
One of 4 pieces of physical type created for film magazine Beneficial Shock's issue on sex . The brief was to explore the notion of cinematic climax through typography. Here the climactic moment of the 1976 film Carrie is explored.
A physical stack of white type was created that at once suggested both the religious subtexts in the film and inferred purity and innocence of the character. This purity was then devastated in the same way as Carrie during the climactic prom scene.
