Kurtzman Style

One of my favorite artists, if not THE favorite, is Harvey Kurtzman. I just love how he inked in this very simple yet sophisticated avant-gardist style. It's very impressionistic but full of character and movement. Since i'm trying to improve my light and shadow, i decided to study his stuff more and this is my first attempt. I really like it so far. Also looked at some old school book covers with four-color palettes and re-created some of them or made new ones. Done in Procreate with some post-processing in Photoshop.
