Peace Is Patriotic

With all the Memorial Day weekend fun of cookouts and pool time, it can be easy to forget the somber meaning behind this holiday. This is a time to remember those who died serving our country but also, I believe, a time to reflect on the true cost of war, a price paid by service members and their families yet rarely paid by the government officials who start conflicts. Let's resolve to honor the fallen in the best way possible: by working toward a more peaceful world.
