Midnight In Paris (2011)

Hello Dribbble community! 👋

I'm Nika 💁🏻‍♀️, a 23-yr old Communications Designer based in Manila 🇵🇭. I learned about Figma last January and only started using last April for simple infographics for work. I wanted to challenge myself a bit more. I'm not very good at doing illustrations, in fact, I never do illustrations (especially with Adobe Illustrator) - so I decided to do a series of illustrations of my favorite films to practice my illustrating skills and to get the hang of Figma.

This artwork is a scene from one of my favorite movies, Midnight in Paris 🗼. I'm surprised at how easy it is to use Figma! I started with the lamp to create dimension, then the floor, then everything else. I ended with the background. I enjoyed playing with the gradients here, and made sure not to leave out too many details. Actually, the original size of this image is supposedly a wide shot fit for Instagram. A lot of details were cropped out (huhu) but oh well, here's to knowing better the next time!

So there you have it- my first Dribbble 🏀post!
I'll be posting more app/web/design 📱content moving forward, but every once in awhile, you can expect a few practice film illustrations. 😉 (Follow my instagram if you like films: @filmonfigma_ )

What do you guys think? Would love to hear from you guys!

Leave me some love 💌
