Why doesn't Git have Stories? Okay bad joke.

I work in a software development agency and of course, we use Git and its various services every day. With such an app, my boss could do a quick check of what everyone's up to, and fire off a quick note. What I like about this is the simplicity - you may feel tempted to put more and more detail in such an interface but that will make the app more of a chore to read. This is really just a check to see who's busy and who's slacking/struggling if there are any blockers.
