Quoting of Art

The trend of quoting art keeps gaining momentum.
This is not, however, just a simple quoting, but an interesting implementation to branding and works of street and underground culture. Such review, modernization and deconstruction of classic images are a very showy and effective method, that's why it is rapidly gathering speed in visual trends.
Partly this happens because of the change in the ways modern painters and designers get their education.

Nowadays it's not necessary to stay for years at academy or university; one can receive a classical set of artistic knowledge on the Internet by himself, get only what attracts him, and after that - make his own version, adding a piece of himself and thus creating something brand new. This process partially resembles the origin of hip-hop and sampling music by beat-makers. The guys didn't have money for expensive synthesizers or musical instruments, so they took vinyl records and cut those pieces of compositions that seemed most attractive and, using them as a basis, created their own music. The same way views on the classics are changing and becoming more modern now but in terms of visual culture.
