Sacramento Bastille Day Waiters' Race Poster 2019

Excited to debut my new piece. For the tenth year running I have designed and illustrated the #poster for #sacramento’s #bastilleday #waitersrace. Every year I say I’m out of ideas and ways to present the event and every year like clockwork inspiration strikes at the 11th hour and I’m able to find a new way to do it! The past couple years’ #posters have tended toward the darker end of the spectrum so I wanted to bring some whimsy and light back to it. Plus I refined the waiter character for the first time in years to give him a fresh balanced sharper look and I finally was able to nail the #disottoinsù composition I’ve been trying to since I started making these back in 2010.
