Register to Vote Stickers for Jolt Initiative

Made these cuties for my Summer 2019 Artist Residency project with the non-profit Jolt Initiative. The goal of this project is to motivate young Latinx women in Texas to go vote. These were inspired by papel picado, which we use for decoration around our homes and altars during el Día de los Muertos in November. I thought it was a great bridge between the two very different traditions that have been a huge part of my life. I always wanted to make my own papel picado and this was such a fun challenge to see how intricate patterns can get. Will be posting more of these in the future!
