Conway's Game of Paint: May Flowers

Wondering what I should do for Mother's Day, I realized that merely purchasing a bouquet of flowers wasn't enough, I wanted to grow my own. Thankfully, I had a few million simulated microbes to help expedite the process.

Families are complicated. I don't always have the most straightforward relationship with my mother, but regardless, she shows up for me, time and time again. I can't even begin to say how much that has changed my life, and kept me going when things were at their darkest. Thanks, mom 💖 Happy Mother's Day!

This is part of an ongoing project I've I've been working on: A rebuild of Cloudy Conway (1), a bot that uses Conway's Game of Life (2) to make abstract art.

My version was built in CSS, HTML, and vanilla JS. It uses CSS's `box-shadow` property as a silly (but fun!) rendering medium.
