User intent is extremely important nowadays as users get used to smarter apps and better personalization. This specific interaction would allow users to request more or less of similar content, educating the algorithm to better customize their news feed.

An old exploration done for Yahoo that never made it into the real world. Would have been interesting to explore the animation upon passing the threshold to complete the action!
