1000door or Lawangsewu Semarang Landmark 01

Lawang Sewu is a landmark of Semarang, Central Java. The name of Lawang Sewu is from Javanese, it means “Thousand Doors”. The name comes from its design, with numerous doors and arcs. The building has about 600 large windows. Although there are many doors at Lawang Sewu the name luckily does not actually mean there are a thousand doors.
