This year’s sorceress mascot continues the magical theme: the flame on her staff has the purple teardrop shape associated with the coding language. She is pictured above with an updated version of last year’s wizard mascot, who is also shaped like the purple teardrop. This year’s wordmark has also had a slight style overhaul: the purple part of the lettering alludes to the ‘pipe operator’ symbol – a unique feature of elixir’s code.
