Hail to the Thief
An old assignment from school that I'm still quite fond of. It's on a fictional novel about identity, human nature, and dreams. The book gets its title from the Radiohead album of the same name.
"So he traveled. Lead by the oneiroi step by step seaward, through the waves of darkness. Passing the streams of Okeanos, the White Rock, the Gates of the Sun, and the field of Asphodel; where the souls and phantoms of the dead reside. A darkness hovered behind him, but he could never turn to face it. Forward he went; seaward, where he drowned in visions and knowledge a waking man isn't meant to gaze upon or know. Answers to his questions and questions to his answers."
