Main Characters

Here are the main characters for my next Bite-Sized Book.

For picture books, I start the illustration process with character development. After reading the manuscript, I think of what makes up each character. Who are they? What’s their personality? How does their character support the main theme? These questions drive the initial sketching and early exploration.

This story never mentions the characters so I had total freedom. I live in a diverse neighborhood and try to make mental notes of when I pick my kids up from school. This brother and sister look like some of my kid’s friends or classmates.
