The Creation Of Ymir

I wanted to start showing some detailed shots of my thesis work from graduate school. Part of the work was a series of seven banners I designed that used Norse myths as a metaphorical framework to inform design that focused on modern day political and social issues. The work as a whole visualized the growing conflict between Baby Boomers and Millennials and the need for fundamental change in our society.

Here is the first banner of the series called the Creation of Ymir. Using the Norse creation myth as my inspiration, the design itself brings to life the rise of the Boomer generation post World War 2 as they create their world using a gifted economy to set up the beginnings of a Second Gilded Age.
