Maniac

My Maniac poster for The Poster Posse's Netflix tribute. I took both of my posters for this project in pretty wildly different directions in order to have them reflect the tone and nature of their subjects.

For Maniac, I took a cue from the show’s masterful use of color in its art direction and cinematography and filtered it through Steranko’s psychedelic graphics to settle on this final design. I went with a simpler, and starker approach to my ink renderings in order to let the color shine through. And finally, I created a geometric title treatment which also acted as the frame for the composition while alluding to the fractured nature of the show’s storytelling. The overall result is something weird and very different from most of the work I’ve done before, which I’m very proud of.
