A logo and identity system serves as a colorful depiction of what will be taught at the Annual Meeting: abstract concepts illustrating a rich tapestry of collaboration, struggle, and justice. Each ring of the pattern is created from an illustration inspired by a quote describing the main themes of the conference. Words in both English and French honor the 2019 host country, Canada. The aesthetic honors Vancouver’s Indigenous communities while highlighting active collaborations as well as struggles amidst anthropology’s implications in ongoing coloniality.
