1986 / Four Years

Today marks four years since my twin brother Daniel passed away. It's always weird on this day. Every year I try to make something to remember him and cope with the waves of grief that overcome me.

Daniel was wheelchair bound from the start and every time I see the new wheelchair icon I think of him. It symbolizes forward motion and action–something that defined Daniel his entire life. This year I took that icon and created a lockup with it jetting through the year we were born.

I rebounded this off of the first thing I made right when he passed…a super raw time for me…but I figured I'd link back to the process of that piece: 1986 Poster Process
