A for Anxiety
I’m doing #36daysoftype!
I’m taking this opportunity to bring some Mental Health Awareness and talk about a few mental disorders and phobias. Even if you can’t relate it’s important to know what other people might be feeling so you can be supportive 🙂
Today’s letter is A for Anxiety. Most people experience anxiety at some point in their life. Some more than others. Sometimes, it comes over you so suddenly you don’t even know why you’re anxious, but you FEEL something is wrong.
What you can do if you’re anxious > Try focusing on actions like putting your socks on, or filling a glass with water. Something that doesn’t require emotions.
What you can do if someone is anxious > don’t bombard them with questions! If they don’t pinpoint a specific reason, don’t keep asking them what’s wrong. Just stay calm and make them comfortable, try to get some air or some water, and get away from noisy and busy backgrounds. They will eventually calm down!
