Coos Bay, Oregon

Coos Bay, Oregon - the city where I grew up. I was inspired after a visit a while ago to create a city badge. Something we could burn into leather patches, embroider onto hats, make into stickers, etc.

One of my favorite aspects to this design is the shopping cart hanging from the McCullough Bridge. You can see it if you zoom in. There's a long story involving a group of us, a van, a stolen shopping cart, and a very "Ocean's Eleven" vibe.

While we thought it was funny, many residents (including the local police) certainly didn't. No one got in trouble, but it's certainly a memory that is brought up after a few beers at the local pub.

All done in Illustrator, no sketching. Fun project for sure. Always nice to push yourself as a designer.
