A is for Ants in the Pants
It’s time to dig out your best pair of JNCOs, put your crystal Pepsi on ice, and join me on a trip down memory lane. This year's 36 Days of Type is all about your favorite childhood toys from the 90s. "90s Toypography" is going to make you nostalgic for a time when Blockbuster was alive, Sun-In was all the rage, and hacky sack was cool. Although I am still game for a hack circle anytime.⠀
Ants in the Pants is a children's tabletop game that was originally invented in 1969 by William H. Schaper, but it made a resurgence in 1986 when Milton Bradley eventually acquired it.
The object of the game for 2-4 players is to spring as many of your 'ants' as possible into the 'pants'. When the tail is pressed and released, the plastic ants spring into the air. I was very frustrated that I never found my ant-springing groove, and couldn't aim with those suckers. I guess that's the point though.
