Day 12 - eCommerce

Hi guys,

Today I was challenged to create an eCommerce page.

This is what I’ve done a lot over the past few years. I’m used to designing these kinds of pages according to the Magento 2 and sometimes even the WooCommerce rules and guidelines.
In this case I wanted to give myself a challenge and some freedom. I decided not to use the rules and guidelines of these two platforms.

For this challenge I wanted to create a clean page where the next possible actions, like adding a product to the cart, are clear and visible for the user. I decided not to use a lot of color, but font weights and shades of the color grey to create the page’s hierarchy. To make sure the page didn’t get too bland and corporate, I let the product break the grid by adding an image behind a part of the product.

The bar at the bottom of the screen is fixed so the user can easily add the product to their cart, or add it to their wish list. No matter how far they scrolled down on the page.
