Transit Magazine

A brief to create a magazine spread and cover based upon censored cities within the world and their stories. I have focused on the story of women in North Korea and their accounts of censorship, brainwashing and escaping. I wanted to use bold colours that reflect that of the North Korean uniforms. The censorship of the eyes indicates the censorship in North Korea but also the worldwide approach to turning a blind eye to the suffering of these people. The font I wanted to keep bold and almost playful to contradict the severity of the stories and the irony of the sentence “It’s always sunny in North Korea”
