Tontine "Swim Upstream" Dribbble

Glasgow City Council opened a hub for start up companies in the centre of Glasgow, called the "Tontine". It provides a base for very low rent and has all the facilities that an entrepreneur would need to find their feet. I used the legends of St Mungo, which are integral to Glasgow's initial success as a trading city, as a metaphor for the rebirth of commercial activity in Glasgow now. The four walls in the "Centre For Civic Innovation" Section featured custom wallpaper, featuring the four themes- Fish, Tree, Bell and Tree of St. Mungo and then I expanded this by attaching an entrepreneurial aspiration to inspire people to greater achievements. This wall featured the concept of all but one fish swimming downstream and conforming. I then used the Lightbulb Icon with fish fins to swim upstream in the opposite direction to represent the spirit of the entrepreneur "thinking different"! I included a tagline stating "Swim Upstream!" to reinforce the concept.
