A-Aadhaar

As more utilities and benefits get linked to Aadhaar, the world's largest biometric database has become a constant subject of discussion and controversies. While on one hand, Aadhaar is claimed to have made access to benefits more streamlined and is also claimed to have reduced leakages to middlemen, the security of the database remains one of the topmost concern. Denial of services, especially to the underprivileged, due to failures in biometric authentication is also an issue that cannot be ignored.
