Breathe magazine cover illustration

I was commissioned by The GMC Group to illustrate their BREATHE magazine cover, Spring April 2018 issue.

Breathe is an original mindfulness magazine for a calmer and more relaxed you.

For this illustration I wanted to imagine a girl or woman getting away from a chaotic city environment and escaping to her own private sanctuary. With a burst of colour to show Spring has arrived, giving us a new lease of life and connection to nature.

The landscape I kept quite abstract to represent the rhythm of our heartbeat. With the tree as our lungs representing the breathe of air that brings you sense of calm, peace and mindfulness.
