Experiment 1: Paranoid

To explore design creativity outside the UI realm, I started a personal experiment project. I wanted to work with type, colours, and composition in a fast and informal way, putting in pixel what came to mind and not worry about its ability to be user focused, practical, beautiful, or correct in any way.

My husband the metal head inspired me to illustrate lines from metal lyrics, and because there are so many great songs to choose from, I started with Martin Popoff's list "The Top 500 heavy metal songs of all time".

First out: Paranoid by Black Sabbath.
