Matthew McConaughey and His Tin Can

I designed this for a single by my band Hemingway — we all ended up moving away a little while after recording this song and we never did a full-fledged EP release like we were hoping, but we did drop this song on our Bandcamp page.

A little on the process...I did a rough digital painting based on a photo I took of my own hand. I then printed out a light, reversed version of it and drew over it with actual ink. Scanned it back into the computer for finishing touches.

The song is inspired largely by the movie Interstellar, but with some of that imagery and feeling reinterpreted in light of our singer's personal feelings.
