Piggy’s Glasses

Completed on March 15, 2018. This drawing is based on the themes of the book, The Lord of The Flies. Piggy is one of the main characters and his glasses symbolize his different perspective on the other boy’s behavior. His specs are washed up on shore. In the left lens are the items that represent civilization: the conch shell and the fire. The right lens is cracked and scratched, representing chaos. Inside the cracked lens holds what they call “The Beast”, war paint, and a pig head on a stick: also known as “The Lord of The Flies”.
