Fun little design for a friend

A quick little name crest for my friend. His family name translated to “outstanding in defense” and the phrase, “sans peur” would resonate with him. Inspired by the French Knight, Seigneur de Bayard’s famous saying, “Sans Peur et sans reproche.” (Without fear and without reproach) I tried to keep a sense of graffiti or street art into it which was just a random request he tossed into the hat last minute which is what I attempted to achieve with the stylized ambigram and textured pattern created with it in the bg.
