First-Time Use: Contextual Help Tooltips

[Archive – 2020] In-store scan and go app experiences are a fairly new product experience within the Canadian retail market.

Customers were not yet accustomed to the idea of using a phone to scan while they shopped. There were a number of states, gestures and journeys both in-app and in-store that needed to be addressed. __

To avoid overwhelming customers with information during initial app on-boarding, we took a learn as you go approach - offering help while customers navigate through the app.

This project took a great amount of collaboration within UX, content design and development. We needed to ensure the right messaging was being communicated within various states a customer could come across. (Here's just a snippet!)
