Scenography for La Foire du Livre

We were asked to draw and then design a small village composed of eight houses. At the center of the village, we can find an entertaining construction, meaning a place, inside the village. In this area, children can interact with one another, or simply read. It is composed of book trays as well as tinsels, in order to highlight the location.

The objectif of the exposition called 1,2,3… Maisons! was to celebrate eight Belgian publishing houses.
Each of them presents a youth illustrator. To make this more « alive », we used the principle of reprography. The term « house » is the key word for that exhibition. That is why we associated each publishing house with a room of a house, or an object that may be found there.
