Oh Deer

My take on the Visayan spotted deer which is one of four known subspecies of the Philippine brown deer. They’re hardly ever seen in the wild these days. These poor animals are now considered to be endangered and that’s tragic.

During my hikes in Cordillera, I'd often see deer skulls hanging in some houses in villages that we pass through. They're mostly hunted for their meat and antlers.
