Laser-cut League of Legends Chess Set

I made a League of Legends chess set and thought you’d all enjoy it too!

I drew everything using Illustrator, cut it on 3mm plywood, and glued parchment paper to each piece of the box, allowing for different opacities which results in a cool effect when light passes through; the loot box alone could work as a lampshade! The Noxus pieces have the stands shaded in so that they’re more easily recognizable as the “black” pieces.

All pieces can be stored on trays in the loot box. Leaving a lot of empty space inside means that I can always add more themes (Ionia, Freljord, etc.) if I feel up for it! My only regret is that I didn’t make the pieces double-sided because of the time crunch - it would’ve made the set easier to play with. The project took about 40 hours from design to assembly, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!
