Calculator – Daily UI 04

Getting back to UI Challenge.

I've always been very curious about this Chinese calculator, the Suanpan, and decide to learn about it for this task. I was amazed by how with just this one module — 4 columns — you can do any of the four basic mathematical operations.

The color scheme, lighter on the right and darker on the left refers to the beads values. From 1 to 1000 on the bottom and from 5 to 5000 on the top.

When turned horizontally the calculator would expand to 3 modules and allow for greater numbers.
