Alphabet Aerobics

Two years ago, I finished design school and started wandering west partly because I was reading the Jack Kerouac novel "On the Road" and I was looking for a job. I needed something to keep myself busy as I jumped from AirBnB to AirBnB, coffeehouse to coffeehouse, Denver to Portland and back to South Dakota in my Corolla. Pretty early into the trip, I listened to an old favorite song called Alphabet Aerobics by Blackalicious and it sparked the idea to illustrate a letter every day. When I made it to St.Paul, Minnesota to crash with an old friend, I was looking up events and saw that Blackalicious was performing there the night after I finished the project. I've been here in the Twin Cities since.
