Weekly Design Challenge #01 — Know Your Class

This one is from the Weekly Product Design Challenge by Artiom Dashinsky.

I asked about a dozen educators how they memorized their students' names. The top answers were games, seating assignments, and repetition.

I incorporated these techniques within a larger (concept) application. The top left card allows the educator to study the names. The top right allows the educator to click each seat and see the student. The bottom left is for the teacher to get to know the emotional health landscape of the students through their answers to surveys (out of scope, but whatever). The bottom right is a notepad. In this case, it's a recording of the teacher reviewing the class assignments from that day--which was a game for the students to get to know each other.
